A Retro Fit { Fetcham Park wedding photography }
This wedding had everything you could you dream of; a beautiful setting, stunning wedding attire and décor that would make your jaw drop! The couples love for tattoos – Jack is a talented tattoo artist – added a unique element to their day and definitely made their personalities stand out. I love the fact that Amy-Jane had a very clear vision of the baroque setting she wanted for her wedding and when she saw the beautiful murals of Fetchams Great Hall she fell in love. Add to that their retro style of 50’s and 40’s and you have an eclectic WOW factor of a wedding. The soft peach tones of the flowers and details complimented their style – I absolutely love Amy-Jane’s bouquet – thanks to Bloomingayles – and the matching pretty pink of the bridesmaid dresses.
With Fetcham Park as their ceremony and reception venue it is a perfect setting for guests to truly relax and enjoy themselves without having to move to another location. Fetcham Park was built over three hundred years ago and is surrounded by magnificent gardens and fountains, but the true beauty is held within its walls. The house is styled in a very elegant manner and the rooms are breathtaking to say the least. I love the use of a manor house as a wedding venue because once it’s filled with love and laughter everything truly comes to life. Fetcham holds a special place in my heart and I’ve shot a lot of events at the venue.
I took photographs as the bride and her three bridesmaids as they got ready for the big day. My aim is to capture every pure and emotive moment as, in the process of preparing, the bride expresses so many different feelings that need to be caught on film. I watched on the sidelines while Amy-Jane got her hair and make-up done by the brilliant Carolanne Armstrong and as she put on her gorgeous dress by Justin Alexander. After this, I went to see Jack and his groomsman. They were very relaxed, smoking their cigars and having a few laughs, but I could see the excitement in his eyes!
The ceremony begun and Amy-Jane looked flawless walking down the stairs as her dress trailed behind her, while Jack couldn’t hide his enthusiasm when seeing his stunning bride for the first time. The day went on without a hitch and was filled with love and laughter as the guests congratulated the happy couple on their perfect day.
I’m extremely grateful to have been a part of this experience and I wish Amy-Jane and Jack all the happiness in the world as they start their journey together!
