The Middlehurst family mini portrait session { family photography, Surrey }
Last month during my spring mini sessions at The White Orchid in Weybridge I had the pleasure of photographing the very lovely Middlehurst family. I have come to know mum and dad, James and Jen (in particular) through my wedding networking and I can sincerely say that they are a couple of the nicest people I have met!. They run the most amazing event catering company – Kalm Kitchen – I don’t think it is possible to beat their canapés – especially they way they eclectically present them in cute cases,mini glass boxes and vintage mirrors. I was photographing a wedding last weekend where they were also the caterers and I can quite honestly say that their elderflower cordial is like nectar from the heavens after a long day running around!
Back to the family here – it was a pleasure to get some fantastic family portraits for them to frame at home. I also like to show my clients how I can frame images for them during their personal viewing session or mini session online gallery. It helps to visualise and guide a decision so that my clients have these precious memories displayed on their walls for years to come.
In this mini session I got a portrait of each of the 3 children, the siblings together and some great family groups, a great taster of the images that is possible for me to get for a family in a lifestyle session with me. The styling that Nicole from The White Orchid put together for me was incredible – it helped me to have set places for some different shots. My favourite spots being the little slice of France for the family portraits and the crate which was great for containing wriggling nearly 1 year olds!

What a beautiful family and what gorgeous photos! There’s so much love and happiness here that I smiled just looking at them all. I really like the ‘outtakes’ where they’re all having fun, it’s so nice to see such relaxed and informal family photos – looking back on the ones from my childhood, they all seem so posed!
