Holiday heaven { family photography Provence France }

Everything fell into place when this wonderful New York family contacted me about taking photos on their holiday in Provence. My own familys stay in one of our favourite ever destinations was just ending as theirs was beginning, so I stayed behind after my lot returned home for a couple of days (in a very pretty little maison d’hôtes) so I could visit the family and photograph them in the wonderful surroundings they had chosen to stay in. And oh what a dream for me – wildflowers, vineyards and a garden filled with lavender!

So, mum and I discussed outfits, then the girls showed me how they could climb trees, do running bombs into the pool, twirl in their pretty summer dresses and we went and picked flowers for their mum next to the vineyard. Then we did some fun family photography in the vineyard and back to the house for some more – by this time the girls were loving the camera! They were great fun, all such individual personalities and wonderful children. I stayed for some French wine and a Sunday roast. It was all pretty much perfect. I sincerely hope I get to visit their home in New York one day and see the pictures printed up on their walls. Thank you for making me feel so welcome! Now I must share the heaven….
