An ordinary day can become an adventure to
Every portrait session with me is an opportunity to turn spontaneous family moments into gorgeous artwork for your home. An ordinary day can become an adventure that you’ll love for a lifetime and relive every day when you see it hanging on your wall.
Let’s take some time out, relax a little and cherish the simple pleasures in life. A portrait shoot with me is a chance to refresh family bonds and friendships with the people you care about. I’m your personal family photographer, so it’s important to me to capture the expressions and gestures that say so much about your relationships. Posing is kept to an absolute minimum because I believe that the most profound pictures are often the least planned.
I’m a mum of two bright, funny, full of life girls. But my experience of family life means I understand how to strike up a swift rapport with even the shyest little ones. They’ll feel comfortable and safe in front of the camera, while I capture them at their most natural. They might be running through a lavender field, kicking a ball around the garden, or just watching clouds roll by overhead. Taking your portrait session outdoors gives your images a timeless look – the fresh air and natural light help create photographs that don’t age even as your kids grow. If you have a favourite local park or beauty spot, let’s get there!
Portrait photography session fees are £150. Your session fee includes a consultation, the shoot itself, custom processing of your images and a viewing appointment. Minor travel costs may be incurred depending on your location, so just ask for details if you have somewhere special in mind. You get my time, talent and experience and there’s no set time limit for you to worry about. I’ll shoot for however long we feel is needed to get a gallery you’ll love. Normally this doesn’t take any longer than 1 – 2 hours and can fit in between meals and naps.
Your shoot can take place in the comfort of your own home or a location of your choice. You can even choose to split your session time between the two to give even more variety. You might not have a specific location in mind, but don’t worry about that as we can discuss it together. Depending on your style and the time of year, there are lots of different options. Maybe blossom in March, lavender fields in late summer or the autumn leaves in the later months. But it doesn’t have to be seasonal – how about an industrial estate for that “urban” feel, or a farm with tractors and hay bales if your boys love their machines!
After the fun of your session, you’ll have access to an online gallery to chose from an edited selection. I can be there to guide you through it, helping to choose your favourites and make suggestions about how best to treasure and display these memories. I’ve carefully selected the best handmade and bespoke frames and albums for you to choose from. Every product I offer, I love. I’ve selected them especially because they are how I want my own family memories to enjoyed for generations to come.
You might find that a mini portrait session suits your portrait needs more than a full bespoke family session does. For families who are looking to update a few images whilst their family grows, I offer them seasonally throughout the year. You can learn more about how mini sessions work and which ones I am currently booking here.
