Finally I am blogging the images from my bridal inspiration shoot last summer – you may have seen some of these images in Cosmo Bride magazine or maybe on the fantastic Ruffled blog last week – or maybe this is the first time – either way I hope you enjoy the gorgeous summery tones . If only this could be smell-o-vision!
This shoot began as dream – this dream of mine came true thanks to the amazing suppliers and people on this shoot that made everything look so absolutely incredible.
The wonderful Charley from London Bride pulled everything together. She ‘got’ my vision immediately and used the classic 70’s Cadbury flake advert – remember the one where the lady paints in a field?! – as inspiration. She created mood-boards that were filled with imagery from Provence and organised the suppliers, from the fantastic hair and make-up team to the gorgeous dresses and very cool suits. She styled the table, pulling together a collection of props that we both sourced, to create a couple of looks – personally I still I think you will agree that the styling and level of detail are incredible.
This is the boho look – I will blog the 70’s glamour look next week! I hope you enjoy the video too – shot by my talented cameraman husband!
Anyway here you go – and one last time from me – a huge thank you to all the suppliers who took part in this shoot – details below. Oh – and yes, incase you were wondering, Sarah and Jamie are a real-life couple! Shortly after this shoot – he proposed!

Severin from The Hepburn Collection styled the brides hair with a stunning front french-plait – it perfectly complimented the subtle 70’s feel of the shoot. Make-up artist Tammi Nguyen created a a smoky eye look on Sarah which the camera loved!Charley created the picnic table for two as inspiration for a ‘First Look’ part to your wedding day. The French style metal furniture was decorated with lace doilies, old bottles and delicious macaroons, surrounded by zinc watering cans brimming with hydrangeas and bubbly Babycham in coupé glasses for the couple to enjoy. We wanted to have natural and a hand-picked feel to the flowers keeping them very natural – Steph at Fairynuff Flowers put together a beautiful hand-tied bouquet of scented stocks in pastel colours tied with loose ribbon, and also used a single lilac scabiosa flower for the groom’s buttonhole.
Both beautiful dresses were generously provided by Halfpenny London, the polka dot sleeved dress was part of the collection and the lace dress was in fact a stunning original vintage dress. The groom’s suit jackets were original vintage jackets supplied by Vintage Whistles.
